One Mile Beach, Forster, NSW Photos

Uncategorized

Just one of the beautiful photos I shot when away on the Mid North Coast of NSW. I knew this was going to be a special series of photos, as I took a few shots on the 5D MkII before the sun breached the horizon and they came out great but you just cant beat a perfectly exposed 617 transparency.

Shot on the Fuji GX617 | Velvia 50 slide film.

This shot now lives in the Mid North Coast, NSW Gallery on the Matt Lauder website.

  1. Thanks Barney, all the shots came out perfectly exposed, it was just a case of looking at the water and seeing which one I liked. When I shoot I dont bracket at all, I just wait for the light to change or I will stop down and make my exposure even longer to see the effect I get. Due to the long exposure there isnt much of a wave formation. In the digital shot there is.

  2. Great photo! Would love to see a RubbingPixels on this where you talk about the capturing as well as the post production. Maybe even comparing the 5D shots to the Fuji GX617 shots and why you used one over the other, etc.

    • Hi Anthony, Yep happy to do it. I am just waiting to see if upgrading my Mac to Lion will solve an issue I have had for ages where my monitor is profiled correctly but when I do a screen capture or recording it gives me a blue cast. This has put a spanner in the works in terms of tutorials. but if fixed I will be pumping out alot to make up for lost time. If it dosent work then I will have to do a new system install. Either way the problem will be solved. Thanks for the feedback on what you would like to see.
