Blue Mountains, NSW

Visiting the Blue Mountains is a must for a first time visitor to Sydney, especially if you are a photographer. No matter what the weather, there is something to shoot, from cascading waterfalls hidden deep under the canopy to panoramic views of the sandstone cliffs from one of the many lookouts.

The main attraction of the Blue Mountains is the Three Sisters at Katoomba but it is by no means the only one. One of my favourites is Hanging Rock a hard to find spot but well worth finding that runs off the Ridgeway Road in Blackheath. Just recently (March 2017) I did a trip up to Mount Wilson and got some great photos of the area that really show case a different side to the Blue Mountains of the areas that lay outside of the popular hang outs.
