I love when you head out to shoot and you see lighting events that you haven’t come across yet and this was one of those times. The light came out from the right like a torch beam and the light was just amazing. If you view it larger you can see how the light has fallen on a distant tanker on the horizon. I like this shot but the real thing was 20 times better. Also it isn’t easy shooting an image with this type of dynamic range on slide film. Dark rock and sky… not the kindest of combination’s.
Shot on the Fuji GX617 | 90mm lens | Velvia 50 | two stop lee soft grad.
Sweet light Matt. Crazy contrast wouldn’t of been the easiest shot in the world to take.
great shot matt…. the dynamic range looks pretty good to me
Great colours Matt. Are these colours because of the vulcan ashes? I like your dynamic range aswell. Great shot.
Thank Corne, no I doubt if it is from the vulcan ash. The light was just great.
