My last photography course for 2008 was held in Newcastle and the light that we had at the end of the day was a real treat. Rainbows were popping in and out. The sky lit up orange and gold, followed by a strange red swirl in the sky after the sun had set.
The border on the top shot took just as long as whole development of the digital panoramic. The bottom shot is after sunset, love the red cloud in the sky.
My 2009 Newcastle Day Course dates are below:
14th March 2009 | 13th June 2009 | 19th September 2009

Nice shots, I like the caged effect. I’ve always wanted to try a pillbox border but I wouldn’t know where to start. The red cloud in the lower shot is lovely, really makes the image stand out.
You sure were treated to some great light, Matt! I quite like the effect you have achieved in the first image with the border…
just like being back at work in the cop shop hey Matt. I like the effect too.
Thanks guys… the bar / cage effect still needs some more work and playing around with. I think the shot could do with a texture overlay.
I like the top shot best, nut not so much the border on it… but what would I know right ?
Good shots Matt ! ! !
This is really a beautiful shot.
