I just had a read of the official press release on Canons latest addition to the EOS range the Canon 5D Mark II on their US website. There has been a lot of speculation on what the camera is going to have. After reading the article I can honestly say the specs this camera has is amazing.

Just reading some more… 3.9 fps….. what are Canon thinking ?
Reading the specs, you can see they cut some big corners to save on cost and prevent it competing with the 1Ds mkIII (which I own). Slow fps, unexciting AF and a steel body instead of magnesium. The HD mode will also cook the electronics with such a large sensor, increasing image noise. I think Canon took their eye off just who uses the 5D. Not bad though.
