My new Hasselblad 6×6 is now home and I headed out to shoot a test roll. It is in better condition than what was described on ebay which is always a bonus. It’s been a while since shooting with one of these so I had to work a few things out, Hasselblad owners will know what I mean. Going to change the viewfinder as it is the wrong one for what I want and it’s replacement should be here this week.
Just listening to the sound of the gates opening and the shutter counting down is awesome, no battery’s, no histogram, no long exposure noise, no sensor dust, no real focusing involved… just find a composition, select an fstop and set your exposure time… thats it. !!
so cool !
can you put filters on the lens?
There is no internal thread on the lens so you have to hand hold them. If you hung just the holder over the front you would probably get vignetting quIte badly. So hand holding is the way too go.
so cool, can’t wait to see the pics taken on it…. keep us posted!
How many megapixel is it? hehe.
lol 😛
🙂
Nice toy Matt. Look forward to seeing some amazing work from it.
I love mine, you’ll enjoy yours. Congrats. Looks like a 40mm on it, that thing is a beast! 🙂
Thanks Matt, yea I loved my first one and I will love this one just as much. Yea thats the 40mm on the front. It is a beast !
now thats a sexy camera! nice one, depending on the size of the lens you can buy Lee Filter holders that you clamp on the outside of the actual lens.
She is a beauty. Yea I have seen those filter holders. Think I’ll stick to the handholding method for now.
You are a victim matt, come on mate give up the film, you know you want to!
looks like an impressive peice of machinery mate! incredible stuff! I’d give my left nut to be able to shoot with this and your 617!!!
Yea it is Tim, such a nice rig… I guess having all this gear you take it all for granted.
Hi Matt,
Which version of the 40mm lens did you get?
