Just got about 20 rolls of film back from the lab and I have scanned up a few of the shots and uploaded them to my site. (Click here to view)
Quite a few of the shots on the rolls I got back I had also shot as panoramic stitches and there is no real difference in colour or quality to make me want to scan the film shots and replace them with the digital ones.

Australian landscape is the most beautiful in the world. I always tell people that the sky changes from different color like a woman’s eye shadow. This photo of the ocean looks like woman’s eye shadow too. Nice shot I like it.
Nice shot mate! Interesting to hear that there is no real difference in colour or clarity between a number of the panoramic stitches and the slide film.
I’d love to shoot the same sunrise / sunset on both and compare the results…. It would make for an interesting comparison. Results aside, I still enjoy shooting film better. I love the raw nature of it. It makes you think about what you’re doing!
Hi Matt:
Question for you: Is it worth to get a second hand GX617 with 90mm lens? What is the lens you used for the above photo?
Thank you.
David (Your big fan of Panoramic Pictures)
Hi Dave,
Your only option these days is to get a second hand Fuji as they are not made any more. The above photo was shot with a 90mm lens. Thanks for following the blog and my work. Cheers
