Well known panoramic landscape photographer Ken Duncan has just recently opened a new gallery in the popular tourist town of Cairns, in North Queensland.
Last year we saw Peter Lik pull out of Cairns and close down all but one of this Australian galleries (Noosa) and I think Ken has jumped at the opportunity to get into the scene in Cairns.
So if your heading off to Cairns be sure to pop in and check it out.
Kens new gallery is located at:
63 Abbott Street, Cairns

Hi Matt,
I visited Peter’s galleries in Port Douglas and Cairns, it was a nice gallery and my first experience with large format panorama prints. Inspired me to buy a camera of my own. Good luck Ken!
i have just heard that he is closing the cairns gallery? I have seen this gallery and it is nothing special at all. You should see the amount of staff Ken Duncan goes through!!!! Astonishing…
Interesting… if you cant make it work in Cairns, things out there must really be hard for gallery owners.
Yes, his gallery (Ken Duncan’s) in Cairns is very bland and just looks like a dated old lounge room with (yuk) carpet! I was not inspired to walk further than the front door…my friends had to back-peddle out of there as the staff were SO pushy!
Hi Rosa,
I have always though that Kens Galleries could have done with a bit more modernisation and polish, especially given the rent outlay he has some of these places.
yep when i went there rosa the staff seemed really stuck up, didn’t want to talk all he done was sit on his computer and eat his lunch !
